Principal Advisors (in relation to IISCCIW's initial “base” in the Islamic world)
NOTE: Upon finalizing the required administrative processes, we expect that the initiative's initial university “base” in the Islamic world (STARTING from Iran) would be formally created, resulting from a collaboration between the University of Tehran and the Sharif University of Technology (Tehran), guided by the following academic leaders:
* Mohammad Mousavi (Prof., Department of North American Studies) Director General, Office of International Relations, University of Tehran--Please see Prof. Mousavi's letter: HERE.
- To see Prof. Mousavi's letter in Persian, please see: HERE.

The Iran Portion of the Initiative
Pending the finalization of appropriate academic cooperation agreements, in general (as of early June 2008), with regard to the Iran portion of the IISCCIW initiative, in its initial phase, colleagues at the Sharif University of Technology's Environment and Water Research Center (and in other appropriate departments or programs there, as well as at the University of Tehran, and as appropriate, at other relevant universities; also with the possible technical assistance of Iran’s Meteorological Organization) would engage in the physical/atmospheric sciences component of the initiative.
With the same understanding as above, the environmental, natural resources, and agricultural sciences component of the IISCCIW is expected to be engaged through the Graduate School of the Environment at the University of Tehran, in cooperation, as appropriate, with related departments or programs there and elsewhere.
Similarly, the social, theological, behavioral, and health sciences component of the initiative (as well as its economic, legal, and management sciences component) would be covered by Tehran University at the College of Social Sciences, with the cooperation of other respective colleges and departments--also including the European and North American Studies Program--in collaboration (as the process gradually evolves) with other departments or programs at other universities and institutions in Iran, as appropriate, possible, and feasible.
